Meet Our Team

Originally from Louisiana, Dr. Melanie King moved to Charleston in 2008. She attended Richmond College in the United Kingdom for her undergraduate, earning a degree in International Business. Following graduation, she returned to Louisiana, worked for several years, and then decided to follow her true passion: she enrolled in medical school. Dr. King attended St. George’s University School of Medicine, and completed her residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV for Emergency Medicine.

She became interested in non-invasive medical aesthetics in 2010 and began serving clients for Botox and Filler treatments at Charleston Medical Spa in 2012. In 2014, Dr. King became the Medical Director at Charleston Medical Spa. In addition to working at the spa, Dr. King has continued to practice in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. King loves all the clients at the spa, and she enjoys hearing each of their stories, learning about their jobs and families. She feels tremendous gratification with the outcomes of spa procedures, especially how they make each client feel resulting in their personal self-confidence. The clients are always happy to be at Charleston Medical Spa—something much different from the ER! Dr. King is married with two children.

Lisa’s passion for anti-aging has brought her much success in the medical spa industry. As Spa Director, Lisa keeps all of the staff and technicians current with the latest techniques and treatments. She attends training classes, workshops, and trade shows with various educators and vendors to stay up-to-date with the latest technology, variety of equipment available, products and services. Lisa is a certified laser technician, as well as Exilis technician.

Dana is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of experience in the medical field currently living in Charleston, SC with her husband, two children and two dogs!

Dana started her career as an Emergency Room RN in Atlanta, GA. She continued her ER journey in Atlanta for nine years, including six years in a Level 1 Trauma Center. After moving to Charleston, she furthered her education and graduated with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree continuing her career for the next five years working as a NP in an Urgent Care Clinic.

Dana has been with Charleston Medical Spa since 2022 as a Supervising NP and Aesthetic Injector. She is passionate about caring for others and helping patients feel their best. Along with her passion for helping others, she enjoys traveling, beach days and spending time with her family and friends!

Leslie enjoyed being a client at Charleston Medical Spa so much that she decided to join our team. She specializes in facial rejuvenation treatments through neuromodulators.

Leslie earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Kent State University and brings with her more than 25 years of critical care nursing expertise.

Leslie enjoys reading, cooking, yard work, and traveling with her husband.

Samara has been an Esthetician since 2000 and began with Charleston Medical Spa in 2015. As a Charleston native, she decided to move back home after her daughter was born to be closer to family.

Previously she worked as the Lead Aesthetician for the top two medical spas in Raleigh, one of which was consistently rated the #1 medical spa in the country at the time. She has extensive knowledge in medical aesthetic and laser procedures, skin care products, and ingredients. Samara absolutely loves what she does and does not consider it work, but rather a passion that she could not live without.

Samara takes a comprehensive approach to skin health and helps clients find the appropriate treatments and products that will work for them to meet their immediate goals and long term goals.

Samara has worked with and attended numerous clinical trainings for different laser modalites, IPL and BBL, radio frequency, peels, dermaplaning, post surgical aesthetic procedures, microneedling, fat reduction and body contouring. She has co-created two private label skin care lines, worked as the skin care buyer for the former top medical spa in the country, written several aesthetic procedural manuals and conducted procedural and product trainings for dozens of estheticians.

Lilah is originally from Spring Lake, New Jersey. After years of visiting and falling in love with the Lowcountry, she relocated to Charleston three years ago.

She graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in early 2026, where she discovered her passion for helping others achieve healthy skin. As a licensed esthetician, Lilah is a certified Face Reality Acne Expert and holds advanced certifications in microneedling, dermaplaning, and skin cancer awareness. She is committed to continuing her education and staying current with the latest techniques and treatments in the industry. Lilah is passionate about creating personalized treatment plans and educating her clients so they feel confident in understanding and caring for their skin.

Outside of the treatment room, you can find her walking her dogs, cooking, or spending quality time with friends and family.
