Meet Our Team

Originally from Louisiana, Dr. Melanie King moved to Charleston in 2008. She attended Richmond College in the United Kingdom for her undergraduate, earning a degree in International Business. Following graduation, she returned to Louisiana, worked for several years, and then decided to follow her true passion: she enrolled in medical school. Dr. King attended St. George’s University School of Medicine, and completed her residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV for Emergency Medicine.

She became interested in non-invasive medical aesthetics in 2010 and began serving clients for Botox and Filler treatments at Charleston Medical Spa in 2012. In 2014, Dr. King became the Medical Director at Charleston Medical Spa. In addition to working at the spa, Dr. King continues to practice in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. King loves all the clients at the spa, and she enjoys hearing each of their stories, learning about their jobs and families. She feels tremendous gratification with the outcomes of spa procedures, especially how they make each client feel resulting in their personal self-confidence. The clients are always happy to be at Charleston Medical Spa—something much different from the ER! Dr. King is married with two school-aged children.

Lisa’s passion for anti-aging has brought her much success in the medical spa industry. As Spa Director, Lisa keeps all of the staff and technicians current with the latest techniques and treatments. She attends training classes, workshops, and trade shows with various educators and vendors to stay up-to-date with the latest technology, variety of equipment available, products and services. Lisa is a certified laser technician, as well as Exilis technician.

In 2012, Jade received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina.  Later that year she and her husband moved to San Diego where she began her career as a nurse injector and laser specialist.  While living in San Diego, she worked for a high volume medical spa and two prestigious plastic surgeons where she treated patients in clinic with neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and lasers.  She also worked as a clinical trainer for Sciton lasers. 

After moving back to Charleston in 2019, Jade went to work at MUSC as a bedside and prep/recovery nurse.  It was there that she spent the next three years sharpening her basic nursing skills until deciding to return to her true passion of aesthetics in 2022.

Since joining the Charleston Medical Spa team, she has continued to grow as a provider by attending numerous trainings, including most recently the academy of injectors anatomy cadaver lab.  Jade lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband and three young sons.  She enjoys a good cup of coffee, going out on the boat (with SPF and a hat, or course), and spending time with her family and friends.

Dana is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of experience in the medical field currently living in Charleston, SC with her husband, two children and two dogs! 

Dana started her career as an Emergency Room RN in Atlanta, GA. She continued her ER journey in Atlanta for nine years, including six years in a Level 1 Trauma Center. After moving to Charleston, she furthered her education and graduated with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree continuing her career for the next five years working as a NP in an Urgent Care Clinic. 

Dana has been with Charleston Medical Spa for two years as a Supervising NP and Aesthetic Injector. She is passionate about caring for others and helping patients feel their best. Along with her passion for helping others, she enjoys traveling, beach days and spending time with her family and friends!   

Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband and beautiful daughter. You might even find her in the cockpit as she became a private pilot this year and started a non-profit called the Brooks Foundation 2019.

Maggie Chisholm has resided in Charleston for 20 years, currently on James Island with her two kids, chocolate lab, and cat. Maggie has been with Charleston Medical Spa since October of 2022, helping in various roles at the spa. After gaining a true love for the industry, Maggie attended and graduated from the Vski Cosmetology school in September of 2023.  She is now happy to be offering her clients the following services; Hydrafacial, Custom Facial, Lash lift and tint, Brow Lamination, Chemical Peels, Waxing, and more! Maggie looks forward to continuing to grow with Charleston Medical Spa, and her amazing clients. 

Allison, a New Jersey native, has been living in Charleston since 2018. Her and her husband relocated here after her husband graduated dental school. She always knew she wanted to live here after spending her summers on Kiawah Island with her family as a child. She has two small children, Joey and Poppy, and a yellow lab named Raleigh.

Allison has been a registered nurse for over 12 years, working mostly in the intensive care unit. She began her career at Duke University Hospital working in their trauma unit and then relocated to Boston to be with her now husband. She worked in the burn, trauma ICU at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. After moving to Charleston and working in Roper’s ICU, she finally took the plunge into aesthetics. She always knew this is what she wanted to do since discovering her love for skincare. “ I love the ability to help patients shine, not only on the inside but on the outside, with confidence in their glowing skin.”

In her free time, Allison enjoys traveling, a day at the beach, a day on the water, a good walk around the city, exploring new restaurants and spending time with her close friends and family.
